The new season will consist of a special episode, which will begin filming in January 2015, and three episodes, which will commence production later in the year and will likely appear in early 2016.Ĭo-creator, writer and executive producer Steven Moffat said of the show’s return: “A special, plus a new series of three episodes - it’s a record-breaking run!
